And will add you made a good choice buying these. I’ve been using these for years and I am in love with them. **Q: How long do they last?** A: IDK how long they last YET... because I have had mine for well over a year now... and they STILL work WONderfully! I will have to let you know how long they last, AFTER they stop working. *wink **Q: is there a way to cut off insoles to fit without having the outer layer loose and the foam exposed?** A: I have cut mine down and although the foam is exposed I have not had problems with the outer layer becoming loose. There are two main reasons why I didn't give it five stars: First, the insoles are a bit narrow, so if you have x-wide shoes these insoles may not be for you. Second, the insoles don't stand-up well to even regular use (no jogging or running). I've had several pairs and the heels tend to break down after 2-3 months of use. Maybe this is the norm for insoles, but I was expecting something more.
