I ordered these because they didn't have the little "teeth" that are on so many curlers that not only them uncomfortable to sleep on but tear at the hair. These have a smooth surface and the cover attaches firmly. Not so uncomfortable either. They work best when the hair is dampened first. Another plus is that they are not expensive.
