You can see the silvery/grey material lining the insides; but who has an rfid scanner/reader at home to test their effectiveness? The opening end is just that-- open, plus they have the dip cut into the shape there for "convenience" particularly for removing card/PPs from the sleeve, as a bit of the card/PP is totally exposed there so you can more easily pinch it and pull it out... but you don't know WHERE in the item the passive-RFID spy-chip is?A vast improvement, if only for peace of mind, would be to design it with a closing flap-lid lined with the same RF-blocking material, with a tab-in-slot enclosure like what we find on breakfast cereal boxes. I made a little arts/crafts project out of fashioning this improvement myself, taking one of the 10 card sleeves & cutting it into a flap-lid, and taping it onto an in-tact card sleeve which I intend to use, also fashioning it with a tab-in-slot enclosure so the lid doesn't just flap in the breeze and/or get tangled up with other items in your wallet when placing/removing it there. Pics attached. Lots of latitude of course on how you fashion your tab/slot enclosure; including cutting an insertion slot into the sleeve itself; but notice I taped a new pocket on top of the sleeve to act as the slot; plus I tapered the flap lid a bit for easier insertion.Did the same with the passport sleeves, sacrificing one of the 2 provided, to make the other one have a flap lid. Note my passport pictured is doubly fat; with 52 pages rather than the standard-issue 26 pages; so it fills out the passport sleeve more snugly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good for me. . He balked because of the cumbersome issue of trying to fit his cards into his wallet after putting them in these sleeves. I don't have a problem with that except they have to be inserted into the card slots in my Baggalini hand bags "vertically" rather then horizontally, but I generally carry them that way anyway so that doesn't pose an issue. I had to label them though, cash card/charge card, as they can't be identified once they are placed inside the sleeve. They still pose a better alternative for me than would be replacing all my handbags with RFID. I ordered an RFID wallet for my husband.PS.
