Works great!
I got it for my parents. They had been paying $10 to frontier each month for the rental. I got it at less than 40 and works great since then. I already got the money worth. By the way, the internet company do not want the old modem back since it is too old. I should have done earlier.

WORST MODEM EVER
The modem that arrived was not the one I ordered. In fact, it was not even the model stated on the box. It came with NO instructions and it took me over 3 hours on the phone with my phone provider tech supp to get it to work, and it only works with one device in my house. It can't be partnered for love or money to run any other of my devices. This product borders on fraud to me.

This 7550 modem works well for me:
The modem starts up promptly and I have had no problems configuring it up to my high speed internet service. It's a nice looking modem that works with "hardwire" or "wireless" both, which is nice in case I want to change. It's not too big , not too small and the thickness is not so wide, it fits were ever I want to place it to sit. Would recommend this product to any computer user.

I always have my ISP configure unit. As others ...
I always have my ISP configure unit. As others have written, modem fails after 1-3 months. To solve failure problem, I have 3 spares ($10/each) that I swap as each unit fails. Speed slows until disconnect from net occurs about every 2-3 days. My guess is the heat produced by the modem may be reason for the modem failure. Each replacement modem has been configured with the same network and password, so rotation is just plug and play. After cool-down, modems work normally for about 2-3 days. Bothersome? Yes, but cable rotation takes about 10 seconds, and reboot about 1 minute.I have DSL/phone filter, phone, answering machine, printer, mac all on the same line, and modem failure does not occur using ISP loaner modem. Loaner modem cost about $180 to purchase.Buy a spare Frontier modem, or 2, and relax.

Works fine for the first 5 minutes
Keeps dropping the internet signal I had frontier out today. It is not my connectiin. Have an older action tec modem. No problem. Works fine for the first 5 minutes. Had the tec guy on the phone for an hour thought it was me. Oh well.

Works great with AT & T as well.
This is a great modem/router combo had a little trouble getting hooked up to AT & T at first but was able to follow the self-installation video on frontline website and everything is great and never any stalling or stopping like with my old modem/router. Thanks for the great deal. AT & T has this for over $80.00.

I'm back online and happy about it.
I have AT&T internet service and was told the Frontier modem/router was not going to work. IT WORKS... it works much better than then 2wire I replaced it for. I stay online. My only issue was I had to move the wireless to channel 11. After that, I was off and running.
