So convenient when I'm traveling to cover up baby in car seat and then to bfeed at the rest areas. It's light and breathable so baby is not sweating underneath. Will say I'm using it in upstate NY winter and it's kind of light for this. But I just put little blanket over my baby in her seat and it blocks the wind. I wouldn't use this in winter if you are going to be outside for a period because it's not warm enough...just going in and out of places. It'll be great in spring and summer though. Also the opening is great at the top to grab the handle and allow air in for baby to breathe at all he same time, if it's cold out, you have to kind of bunch up that opening with your hand while carrying it by the handle so that cold breeze and rain or snow don't get in.
