It is easy to access for any level reader, and explains the subject matter clearly and completely in such a way that even if the reader does not feel they can perform their own entity diagnosis or removal, they at least come away with a clear picture of what can happen and what can be done about it. It is especially refreshing that the author goes through the whole subject matter, presenting first a great deal of information on cords and curses and thoughtforms and the removal of these. Then she proceeds with a thorough presentation of all of the types of beings that can become involved in entity attachment, not just focusing on ghosts and earthbound spirits as many authors do. Then she goes through a large toolbox of methods of entity removal, which could be used on one's self or by a therapist, touching on practical methods and explaining why they work. Finally, it is a breath of fresh air when she presents an entire section on working with Guides, Angels, and Ascended Masters in doing this work and in general, acknowledging that no one human undertakes this work alone. The section on grounding, centering, clearing, and protection at the end is rather standard but well written and described for those who are going to undertake this work, or who find themselves under attack, who are less familiar with managing their personal energy. I highly recommend this book over the many others on this subject which I usually find to be quite one dimentional. This book is thorough and earnest and provides the reader with a good overview of the subject. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Jam-packed with good info *by B***L on Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2012* This is an excellent book on the subject of spirit possession and release from a New Age psychic's perspective, and jam-packed with good information. It's easily accessible to the layperson, not dry and academic at all. If you're just getting into the subject of spirit release and DIY exorcisms, this is a great place to start, but not the only book you'll need. I also recommend:  Healing Lost Souls: Releasing Unwanted Spirits from Your Energy Body , Spirit Releasement Therapy: A Technique Manual , Remarkable Healings: A Psychiatrist Discovers Unsuspected Roots of Mental and Physical Illness , Exorcism: How to Clear at a Distance a Spirit Possessed Person  (you'll need a pendulum, sold separately), and  The Unquiet Dead: A Psychologist Treats Spirit Possession  (specifically for releasing earthbound spirits [aka ghosts] from people and homes, but not demons). There's some overlap between them, of course, but each brings something new and exciting to the table. Together, they make an unbeatable library for the layperson and professional alike.Note that Spirit Releasement Therapy assumes you are a professional hypnotherapist, whereas William Baldwin's other books on the subject, like Healing Lost Souls, do not. I would recommend also getting some books on hypnosis and past-life regression therapy if you are really planning to really get into this field.Note that it is possible that not all entities may respond favorably to compassion, love, and forgiveness. If these techniques are ineffective, you may need to fight fire with fire, so to speak.  Practical Psychic Self Defense Handbook, The: A Survival Guide  offers a variety of more aggressive methods for depossession, as well as protection from current and future attacks, and how to heal damage caused by psychic attacks.
