But it took me a while to figure out how to use the spray. But it works on a condom cath. **Q: How do you open spray top?** A: It's hard to open but if you smack the cap on a counter kind of like a spray paint can it will open. The first time is hard but after that it opens normally. It's really good stuff too **Q: Is this alcohol free?** A: The only ingredient in the adhesive remover is hexamethyldisiloxane, which is an organic solvent. Hence it dissolves the medical adhesive. There is no alcohol as far I know. **Q: Can you take this in your luggage on a plane?** A: It's a spray and possibly flammable. I am a 70 something, very dour Yorkshireman, whose idea of praise is to say "It'll do".I hardly ever write product reviews - but this long titled spray, (Hollister 7737 Adapt Medical Adhesive Remover Spray) has really, really impressed me!I had an ileostomy 4 weeks ago and can empty the stoma bag (almost) with my eyes closed (not to be recommended).Changing the bag, however was a different kettle of fish. I delayed changing it, going from 2 days to 2.5 days and then to 3 days because I felt that the adhesive was about to pull the skin off my belly!It was so uncomfortable.I watched the video - spray, spray, spay & the bag lifts off - I didn't believe it.If it didn't work I'd send it back for a refund.It worked - as if by magic - it worked.One very short spray (I am a Yorkshireman after all) and a third of the flange was immediately released - no pulling, no discomfort at all! 2 more shorter sprays & the bag was off. This spray was suggested to me by my chemist but couldn’t get it on prescription so thought I would try buying it.It does exactly what it says, spray, wait a few seconds then you are able to peel off the adhesive.
