## Description

PC1 is a Portable 12V DC Water Transfer Pump. Alligator clamps are included for connecting power wires to battery.

Review: Super easy to use. Very effective. - Used this to transfer water from water packs to my campers onboard water tank for music festivals. Drains a 5 gallon pack in under a minute. Super fast. Super easy. Self priming feature is easy too. Just dump some olive oil in both inlet and outlet of pump before you connect water hose. I used this so I could shower all weekend without concern of water usage. Definitely worth the investment. In an absolute survivalist pinch I would be able to pump from clean rivers directly into my camper in disaster type scenarios and that was appealing to me as well. (I live in northern Canada near the Rockies so natural water quality is very high and I regularly drink from the rivers unfiltered)
Review: Works so well I need to find other uses for it... - I needed a way to pump water out of the river on my property into buckets for delivery to my garden. When I came across this little pump I was skeptical, but Wayne is a well-regarded company and I decided to give it a try. I can't be happier. Setup was a breeze - prime the inlet and outlet with a bit of vegetable oil, connect the hoses (I used the provided filter on the inlet hose), connect to power (in this case, the battery on my Crafstman lawn tractor). After putting the suction hose in the water and turning on the pump, water began to flow out the discharge hose in just a few seconds. The pump easily filled four 5-gallon buckets in a few minutes. The on/off switch is a nice touch, and the power cable is long enough to provide some options for placing the pump. I haven't tried to use a long hose on either side; Wayne recommends a suction hose no longer than 15 feet, with no recommendation on the discharge hose length. Maximum lift is 30'; I wasn't really challenging the pump in that respect either. For larger jobs - draining pool covers, filling pools - you should note that the unit has a maximum recommended run time that should not be exceeded at the risk of burning out the motor. Check out the Wayne website, where you can find the full Users Manual and spec sheets. I'm very happy with this pump and expect to find new uses for it as time goes by.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this made in the usa.....?**
A: No - this item is purchased offshore.

Regards,
Bob
Wayne Water Systems

**Q: How many amps does this pump draw? I cant exceed 7.5 in my application.**
A: Using a standard multimeter and a 30A/75mV shunt resistor I measured and calculated the current requirements of this pump to range between 9.8 and 11.6 Amps depending on load. The 9.8 amps measure was with a short open hose at 0' elevation and the 11.6 amps measure was with the output hose crimped. Filliing a cistern that requirted 50' of hose lifting the water to an 8' elevation required 10.6 amps. This is important information when choosing solar panels and batteries for using a pump such as this for periodic using for filling or pumping for irrigation. Note: I have used this pump periodically for the last two years without any issues for filling a 6 foot tall 500 gallon cistern (raised on a 2.5 foot concrete pad) with collected rainwater. Startup amperage can be as high as 24 as measured by my multimeter setup.

**Q: Can i attach a water hose nozzle at the end of the water hose and turn it on and off with the nozzle with out destroying the pump?**
A: You need a pump known as an "on demand" pump. There are many for sale here on amazon as they are very common.

**Q: is it safe to pump gasoline with**
A: The pump is intended for water. I would not recommend pumping gasoline with this pump.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Just Fine
*by S***S on 13 June 2014*

I bought this to pump out my boat after rain showers and it works perfectly for that. The yellow hose supplied in the kit should be used as the discharge hose because it will collapse easily under any kind of stress such as when leaves begin to block the intake filter. I bought a sturdy ribbed hose for the intake and that works fine. The suction disk provided works nicely as a filter and the suction from the pump holds it firmly in place wherever I put it. I have a 12 ft aluminum boat docked behind my house and this morning it had about 10 to 12 inches of water in it the entire length. It took about 10 minutes to pump it out using this pump. I wouldn't use this without using the filter they provide or at least SOME type of filter. The suction is quite strong and if you get something solid like a twig or a pebble sucked into it, it will likely jam the impeller and you will end up taking everything apart to clear it. They give you a spare impeller and gaskets, so if you do something stupid you can fix it and move on. It is a little loud, but it's exactly what I expected for an electric motor of this size. You don't need ear plugs, but I wouldn't want to listen to it all day. It pulls the water out down to about 1/8 of an inch. If it breaks easily I'll change my review, but as of now, it works exactly as I hoped it would.
