It just means dont paint the bbq grill where the steaks lay on top of or inside the kettle where the water goes. **Q: Can I spray on the interior of an old charcoal grill that I'm trying to fix up?** A: Chemical compound: Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene, 1-Butanol These are carcinogens. To season and protect the interior of a grill used for food scrape or brush loose material away then coat with vegetable or peanut oil and fire up to polymerize the oil coating. **Q: can this be used to paint a kitchen stove? Satin Black is good for that type of project since it will help hide everyday finger prints & so on. ***Note: You may want to think about either using a 800 to 1,000 Grit Sandpaper so you can get better adhesion to the Metal surface. If you opt to use the sandpaper do it in a light back & forth motion, just enough so the Paint will adhere better to the surface. Why I recommend a Back & Forth Motion is so pant removed from the appliance is easier to clean off with a damp cloth prior to spray painting the new finish. Not like some people think the earth is. But more a non-glossy.. non semi-glossy kind of black paint in a can that is compressed so when you press the thingy at the top the paint comes out violently. Hey, what do they call that thingy?Anyway, yes, this is black paint. I think there is some other chemicals in the can besides paint that if used in a small area without good ventilation may cause you to start talking to imaginary animals and or things that are not actually there. IF this occurs you may wake up with said black paint where you did not intend to have black paint.This should not be confused with coffee or other black substances. Do not put this in your eye or use it to decorate anything you may confuse as food stuff.In all. This appears to be a good product when you consider it and use it as flat black paint.
