It lets fresh air in very well and keeps out the bugs. Its also a nice thick durable material thats strong and easy to install. **Q: I need to reattach the screen on a 30+ year old heavy wooden French patio door. Can I do the repair without removing the door from its hinges?** A: The main challenge is to keep the screen material taut while you get it into the groove in the door and apply the spline to hold it in place. It's easier to handle on the ground but if you have a helper to hold the free end of the screen and apply enough tension, I would think that you could do the repair without removing the door.
