Note that this calculator takes the thin round batteries and it is not the easiest thing in the world to change the batteries. **Q: does this have a carrying case?** A: Not a carrying case, but it has a hard slip cover that goes on the front of the unit to protect the display area and the buttons. If so, the effective rate to enter for I/Y is (.05/12)x100... if it’s annual effective rate, I/Y=(1.05^(1/12)-1)x100.
