This knife is a definite buy as a hybrid boning knife meets small cleaver. It's sharp, holds it's edge well, feels good in the hand. I've used it for deboning chickens, chicken thighs, steaks, and rough chopping vegetables. It's a little larger than I was expecting based on eye judgement alone but the shape, tip and sharpness means it can tackle exactly what it's for, and also has enough heft that it can chop when you need it to. It looks a lot like some of those knives you may see in popular outdoor cooking Instagram and TikTok videos but costs a fraction of the price so if those catch your eye then give this one a try instead. The one thing to note is that the blade is not thin, so if you're looking to precision cut things like thick/raw carrots, zucchini, potatoes, etc, it will split more than straight cut (think of splitting a log).
