I think the 3x12x50 was a terrific choice. I think this rifle and this scope were made for each other. The glass is clear, even around the edge. I shoot this gun out to 75 yards and still no distortion around the edge. The magnification throw, the turrets and the AO are clean and responsive. I like shooting (hunting) in the latter part of the day. I have found that by having the 50 mm, it lets plenty of light in those low light situations. I also wouldn't have a scope that doesn't have AO. By using it, you can come pretty close to the correct yardage. At the time of my writing this review, you can get it for $50.00, $15.00 dollars off. Great deal. Oh, I have 2 of these πŸ˜‰.
