Review: Great pen! Sturdy, nice feel, clean look, refillable- gets all 5 stars - To be fair, I got the G-750 first and love it. A friend from work did too, so I went through 2 or 3 in about a week. The G-450 comes in a 2-pack for just over a dollar more than a single G-750, and since I already knew I liked that one I decided I'd give the little brother a try. For starters, the 450 is about 5 & 1/8 inches long, a half-inch shorter than the 750 coming in at 5 & 5/8 inches. Basically the length of the click button. Not a major difference but noticeable. And where the 750 has a metal knurled grip, the 450 has a raised-bump rubber grip. The tip of both versions is metal but slightly different. Otherwise they are very similar. You can easily refill using the zebra JK refill in either 0.5 or 0.7. Mine came with the .7 and I like it okay, nice bold, smooth lines. However, I also like the slightly finer lines of the .5 and prefer to refill with that. Both have a nice weight. Not cheaply light like a motel freebie, but not so hefty as to weigh you down or be uncomfortable after prolonged use. Side note, the refills seem to run out fairly quickly so another bonus to the .5 is a slight bit more writing compared to the .7. Like I said, the price is a little more appealing for the 450, but for some reason the all-metal barrel of the 750 just feels a bit more premium. Realistically I use them almost interchangeably with the exception that when trying to withdraw it, the rubber grip of the 450 holds onto the narrow pen slot of my polo shirt for work. The 750 glides much more smoothly. As seen in the second photo, the 450 is just slightly longer than the Parker jotter. The 750 is about dead even with Pilot's G-2. A former favorite, the TUL barely an eighth of an inch even longer. The only real concern I have is the barrel exposed when refilling is plastic; see third photo. I almost broke one while in a hurry and not paying attention. And for those rebels thinking they can get one of each and swap grips to get a custom writing instrument, see fourth photo. There is the slightest difference in inside diameter which leaves an undesirable gap. For those that still use a paper planner the 450's slightly more compact size may be more desirable. For those with larger hands, or for desk work where compactness is not needed the 750 is good. While I am a bit of a pen guy and am always on the hunt for the next good one, the G-450 will remain in my writing arsenal for a while. I am happy with my purchases and if I find myself missing one, I will hit that re-order button. Bottom line, it's a great pen in either version.
Review: Good and cheap - Great pen. Been using it daily for a couple years now and it's dam near perfect. Excellent feel and weight. The g750 was what I used before this pen. This one is just a smaller version but with a rubberized grip instead of knurled, which for me, is much more comfortable. I run through refills pretty quick but I think that's just how it is with gel ink.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the barrel all metal?... or is there a plastic portion to the shaft?**
A: bro best f.ing pen out there... i cant stop buying these for work.. love it all except one thing. the pen is all metal, with a sexy black and nice grip shaft not too harsh but coarse enough. The pen has great weight added to it, and its all in black. You can interchange the ink cartridges from 7 or 5 tip and black and blue ink... i have 4 of them whenever i can. but i keep loosing them! so buy them! the ink i feel goes out wayyyyyyy to quick.. gotta refill often

**Q: Does the Zebra G450 accept fisher space pen refills?**
A: No

**Q: Canshuttleartrefillsfitazebrag450**
A: I was able to decipher this massage, and unfortunately those are not compatible with the Zebra.

**Q: Are there NON gel refills that will fit this pen?**
A: Not without "hacking" (modifying) the refills. Zebra JK gel refills for the Zebra G-450 are 96 mm long and 3.6 mm in diameter. Easiest ballpoint refill to hack into this pen are 99 mm long Pilot BSRF-6 refills, which just need 3 mm trimmed from the back end of the refill. (Search Amazon for "Pilot BSRF.") But personally, BSRF refills are not my favorite. I take partially-used Pilot Acroball hybrid-ink BRFV-10 refills which are 115 mm long and 3.9 mm diameter and trim them to 96 mm to fit my Zebra G-450. Of course, I must use up about a third of the refill's ink in another pen first, but that's not a problem for me because I use a lot of Acroball pens. Another alternative: Refills made for Uni Style Fit pens are 99 mm long and 3 mm in diameter. To hack those refills for the G-450, you would need to trim to 96 mm long, and add tape an inch or so from the tip of the refill to make a "detent" for the tip spring in the G-450. Most Uni Style Fit refills are gel, but for ballpoint ink Uni-ball makes the Jetstream SXR-89 refill in three tip sizes, and Pilot makes BVRF-8 refills in four tip sizes. You might have to find those refills outside of Amazon.
