This mod replaces the stock two-position on/off switch with a three-position off/standby/on switch. Instead of settling for the reduced tube life offered by the stock switch, this simple mod will significantly extend the usefulness of your amp's tubes. The instructions included with the kit will only work with US domestic 120v power transformers. The kit will work for international market amps, but you will have to know how to read a schematic and how a standby switch works. We cannot offer support for international buyers. Takes care of the only real issue with Blues Jr., Fender forgot to put in the standby. Once installed which is super simple, you can put it in standby and get rid of the annoying pop when you swap guitars or cables. A quality switch and proper gauge wire make it a safe addition to the unit.
