I have a black car and I wanted to add a dash of color, so I bought the light blue and I really like the color. Review: It's not super easy to slide the plate all the way into the holder. And the border strips on the sides are on the thin side, so you have to be careful not to break them. However, once the plate is in place, the holder is great, mainly because it's not metal, so it doesn't make a clanking sound when it bumps against the car due to the lack of screws on the bottom. (And I hate the fact that plates can't be fastened more securely with four screws.) This is a great product btw. **Q: Can you use a plastic bubble protector cover on it also ?** A: You should be able to. However, be aware that the license plate slides into grooves cut into the inside of the top and bottom of the frame. So, your bubble protector cover will have to be placed on the outside of the frame, with the license plate inside the frame, increasing the overall thickness of the installation.
