It's hefty and uses good quality materials (which is expected from Oster). They styling looks nice and it does toast things. My only complaint is that the bagel function makes no sense to me. In every other toaster I've ever owned there is a diagram on top of the toaster which tells you which way to face the bagels so that only the inside gets toasted. On this... no diagram. Now I know what you're thinking, "AHA! Just press the bagel button and see which side turns on! Then you'll know! Gosh, I'm so much smarter than you!" Yes yes internet denizen, I thought of that too. Turns out both sides turn on when you press the bagel button. In fact, as far as I can tell there is absolutely no difference when using this feature. As I threw out the manual, now I can't even check.
