Anyway, I liked how the first coat almost cover in one (dark pewter grey) but followed instructions and you never get the ample coverage or cover with just one coat. I waited 3 hours, everything was clearly dry, and started the second coat. In some areas, the second coat was pulling off the first coat to bare wood and gumming up. This usually means the area is very dirty, it wasn't, or not fully dry. It was very dry so perhaps it wasn't? I did like the way it covered, so we will see how it holds up as it is supposed to be fully cured in 7 days. Perhaps a cheaper chalk paint would be a better approach? I'm waiting for my sheet now. **Q: Do I need sealer on countertop before paint?** A: No. I used sealer after the paint. I'm really happy with this product. Put CHARCOAL on top of turquoise colored laminate countertops, and it covered very well. A cheap sponge brush worked better in the corners vs a brush with bristles **Q: How much space will a quart cover?** A: This paint goes further than the specs. on the jar. I have put 3-4 coats on upper and lower caninets in my 10x8 kitchen. **Q: Would beyond paint work good on dining roon set without sanding** A: It is a paint not a stain. We will see. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This paint is very expensive but is the best paint I have ever used.. *by N***E on 19 January 2021* I love painting with this paint. I put on 2 to 3 coats and my pieces come out great. The paint goes on so easy and even though it is expensive, it stretches out to cover my project. Before I start, its best to wipe down your piece with simple green to take off any dirt or grease. Then with a clean wet rag, wipe it down again to make sure all the residue from the cleaner is off. Then let it dry for a minute and then your ready to paint. It is best to try to roll out as much of your project as you can. That means using multiple rollers and sizes. When I am not using a particular roller but will again shortly, I just put it in a zip lock bag so it doesn't dry out. For the in between parts, like the corners and parts you just cant get a roller to, I found that a foam brush works better than any paint brush. Even though the paint is self leveling. After I am done painting, I let it dry for about 12 hours then put on another coat. Then another. My projects come out beautiful and professionally done. I am so glad I found this paint.
