I used the screws from the old unit. **Q: Can i just get the screws ?** A: Yes they’re stainless steel and self tapping. Your local hardware store has them. Bring one with you so they can match it. **Q: Will changing the motor in the fx6 increase the outflow? I’ve had the unit for about 2.5 years and the outflow is poor. Will the motor fix the flow?** A: Do you/have you cleaned the inputs and outputs thoroughly? Is it possible something is partially blocking the motor inlet? My motor lasted 10 years before I had to replace it. . I would just make sure all your sponges and biomedia is thoroughly clean. There is no point in replacing the motor if you don't need it. If you have and there is nothing blocking the intake then yes it should improve your outflow. **Q: Yea after I clean it it stops working too** A: I've got 3 FX6 AND 1 FX4 the one thing I noticed after having these for a few years is that you need to take the motor off and remove the impeller and clean it.
