These (I bought two, one for each CAT) have a little curved lip around the edges to catch any food a messy eater makes. I actually don't use the bowls that come with it, I use Corelle saucers that match, and can be purchased online. They fit purrrfectly! Easy clean-up too, and the the rubbery material causes the bowls NOT to slide around when my cats are eating. I wouldn't be withOUT mine now!! ### ⭐ Done *by K***R on January 23, 2017* Too small ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would recommend buying it *by L***L on January 7, 2017* My small cat has an issue with tipping her water bowl over. I bought this hoping that the silicone would keep the bowl in place so that she could not tip it over. This bowl did not work at all. Within minutes of setting it on the floor it was flipped over and water got everywhere. The issue is that it is extremely light, there is no weight to it to keep it on the ground. The silicone does not act as a suction in any way (which I don't fault it for that because silicone in itself is not meant to suction). Also, the curved lips on the side that prevent water spills actually give here a surface to grab her paw under in order to flip it. As far as construction goes, it is a solid product, so if you are not using it for this purpose, I would recommend buying it.
