## Description

The PHPLUSKIT-14 cartridge is a super high capacity, naturally occurring ph increaser. It is for general drinking water ph increase purposes. It can also be used as an Reverse osmosis polisher if desired (installed at the last stage). since it is sacrificial, the calcite acid cartridge will add 2-5 ppm of hardness to the water. This is also an excellent way to reduce the corrosiveness low tds water. This filter is constructed totally from FDA grade materials and media. This calcite filter will deliver a neutral effluent form acidic feed as low as Ph5. Low ph's require slower flow rates. One of the advantages of calcite is its self-limiting property. When properly applied, it corrects ph only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. It does not overcorrect under normal conditions. Upon contact with calcite, acidic water slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the ph. APEC Water Systems does not distribute or sell our products to any 3Rd party sellers on . I find myself drinking much more water now than I ever have. I haven't had it long enough to tell how long this will last before needing replacement, but I will definitely purchase again. I've had the Apes RO system for about 2 years now. Initially our TDS was at a 4 (yes, 4) when it first installed. After 2 years of constant use by a family of 4, the TDS is up to a 7, still in a great range. I was curious what the PH was and bought a tester. With the TDS at 7, the PH was down at a 6! Not too acidic, but not where it should be for normal drinking water. This PH+ kit is super simple to install. Took me a total of 6 minutes, and 4 of those were getting tools before the install and putting them away after I was done. After flushing this for the recommended time, our TDS went up to 19 and PH went up to 8.5. There is no real noticeable change in test, slight change in feel of the water as it is more wet if that makes sense. The taste is more crisp now without the dirt flavor like Fiji water. Overall a great addition to our Apec RO system, highly recommended! You need this! Buy it now!
