If I remember correctly, you could hone flat on the other side, but overall it seems like a rather low quality stone. I’ve never seen a sharpening stone that is “pebbley”. **Q: can these be used to sharpen flexcut tools ?** A: I would think so. If you can sharpen them on regular stones I would think these would work.
