The first few nights that she had it on she barely slept. She kept waking up and wanting me to remove the device. It was difficult for me also. It broke my heart because I felt that I was making her miserable. On about the fourth night she would go to sleep and stayed asleep without waking up. I kept it on for 10 days and she's no longer sucking her thumb. It's off now but I watch her like a hawk. She has never tried since to suck the thumb.
