## Description

Enhance your water quality with the SimPure Whole House Water Filter Housing (DB20P), designed for both well and city water. This robust housing is made of reinforced polypropylene, ensuring strength and resistance to chemicals, with food-grade material for safe and healthy water. The upgrade design includes thickened and raised threaded holes to prevent leakage, and the built-in pressure-relief button simplifies filter replacement. The DB20P is compatible with universal standard 4.5” x 20” filters cartridges and fits for most whole house water filtration systems. It comes with all necessary tools for installation and is compatible with 1" NPT Brass port filters. Please note that the filters and push fittings are sold separately. The DB20P measures 10” in length, 7” in width, and 23.5” in height, and it is NSF certified. The package includes screws and an instruction manual. Please consider the space required for installation and replacement of the filter element.

Review: Seems pretty good, used to filter bore water - Seems to be a nice unit. Was simple to install. inclusion of some mounting screws would have been a nice touch. I installed it to filter bore water for my pool, so the install is a bit rough on my part but the unit seems to do the trick. Nice clean water coming through and no leaks from the housing. The ‘O’ ring is a little flimsy and could be more robust. Given the price it’s a pretty good unit. I am happy with it.
Review: Overall good stuff!! - Good unit installed easily in about 20 mins used brand name sharkbite fittings in PEX 3/4" line. No leaks use 13 wraps of teflon tape which was included. Even came with spare pressure relief valve (not sure if this is a good thing ;-( ) Will test to see if 5 micron filter is catching the gunk that I suspect and know is present in our community well water. The reason for the 4 star is the bracket supplied is a little flimsy. A simple change in their die forming process by adding wrinkle gussets would add rigidity in the 90 deg. bend.

**Q: Does this remove rust/iron?**
A: That would depend on the filter installed in the housing. 

If you are dealing with large rust and other sediment particles in your water you should be fine with a 5 micron sediment filter. For wells I like pleated filters like this: https://amazon.com/dp/B074FW96PG. 

If iron is dissolved in your water, you need something that filters iron/manganese like this: https://amazon.com/dp/B09JWP92PD

**Q: How do you contact customer support?  The inlet and outlet ports leak no matter how much ptfe tape or thread sealant used.**
A: I put an O-ring (# 18) inside each port before the brass bushing.  Then I coated the threads with sealant and 10 wraps of teflon tape.  I think there may be a design flaw, it shouldn't be that difficult.

**Q: The filter housing leaks profusely. i checked the o-ring/tested it without a filter to no avail. anyone had this problem and been able to fix it?**
A: Try to lube the o-ring with some coconut oil or silicone lube and reassemble.  Also, if you are using carbon filters, I have seen that sometimes they are just a bit too tall, and so removing one of the gaskets allows the tank to be tightened a bit further, causing a seal. If you write to the company for support, they have a support rep out of Canada who is fantastic.  Be sure to include your Amazon order number and you may want to request a call back (specifically by phone) so that they will route it to him early.

Seems to be a nice unit. Was simple to install. inclusion of some mounting screws would have been a nice touch. I installed it to filter bore water for my pool, so the install is a bit rough on my part but the unit seems to do the trick. Nice clean water coming through and no leaks from the housing. 20x4.5 inch filter. The brass fittings leaked but after wrapping an absurd amount of tape around the threads it sealed up just fine. Otherwise it feels quite sturdy and should do the job just fine
