## Description

The ChefAlarm is a professional cooking thermometer and count up/down timer which simultaneously displays the count up/down time, current temperature, high/low alarms and max/min temperatures. The timer is fully programmable, allowing the user to set the count up/down time to/from 99 hours, and 59 minutes. The unit incorporates a large, easy to read LCD display with user selectable backlight and a loud audible alarm with adjustable volume to 92dB - ideal for busy professional kitchens. The ChefAlarm also includes a calibration function allowing the user to fine-tune the accuracy of the thermometer (±2.2 °C). The unit is housed in a water resistant casing and is designed to either sit on a worktop or attach to an appliance using the magnetic pads at the rear of the instrument. Review: Excellent and versatile product - I have had this now for several months. It is excellent and very versatile. I always use a temperature probe to check the progress of meat being cooked in the oven, this ensures correct doneness. This probe is excellent for that, reliable and accurate. The specification states a temperature range of -50 to 300 degrees Celsius. Most units I have owned only go to 200 degrees or so and the probes are prone to failure if left in meat in the oven. I also bought the mini needle probe which is very fast to read and seems to give a very localised temperature reading, making it ideal for checking steaks. It has both high an low alarms so you can check that an oven or fridge is holding a temperature within a band. Also useful for checking the temperatures in the deep freeze etc. An excellent purchase.

I have had this now for several months. It is excellent and very versatile. I always use a temperature probe to check the progress of meat being cooked in the oven, this ensures correct doneness. Es ist super robust gebaut, die Tasten sind gut und es sieht echt Wertigkeit aus, wäre da nicht dieses Display. Es ist bei eingeschalteter Beleuchtung nur aus einem spezifischen Winkel ablesbar. Wenn man gerade drauf blickt bekommt man beinahe Kopfweh... vielleicht nicht ganz so drastisch, aber es ist seltsam.
