At the low setting it's hard to get into the chair and even harder to get out. You need to hang on something solid to help hoist yourself out of the chair. At the higher setting you would hav to bend over to reach the floor or baseboard. I use it to work on the wiring under my train table and it works great for that. **Q: Does it have a brake to keep it from rolling when you’re getting down on it or trying to get up off of it?** A: There is no brake, but I just backed up to a wall and got up. I am 72, so you can do it, too.
