He’s required to wear only ocp or coyote brown. This fabric is a bit on the thick side so really difficult to breath through if you’ve got 2 layers. My sewing machine also gets mad at me when I’m going through multiple layers of this fabric. Instead, I’m using a lighter soft cotton for the inner layer which seems to be working out. It’s still harder to breath through than if I was just working with 2 cotton layers, but it’s tolerable. Hope this review helps those who are want to help their loved ones in uniform stay healthy. This material isn't treated like that. I understand that, for instance you want to make masks out of this and the new policy for service members states the masks cant be made out of the uniform material due to the treatment, I assure you its not treated like the uniforms. Its the exact same material, ripstop, but not treated with any fire retardant or insect chemicals. I have used this for masks and for other items and its safe.
