Review: Great intro to theory...helps students understand the BIG concepts - This was a required text for one of my master's classes, but I'm VERY glad to have it, and I'm keeping it (that would be a first for an academic text...I get rid of them as fast as I can!) I know I will revisit this book when writing papers for other classes, as it explains big thinkers like Nietzsche and Foucault and summarizes the "isms" neatly (postcolonialism, structuralism, feminism, etc.), offering real-life examples and comparisons. Great book.

This was a required text for one of my master's classes, but I'm VERY glad to have it, and I'm keeping it (that would be a first for an academic text...I get rid of them as fast as I can!)
