When I got it, I tried it on underneath a pair of low-rise skinny jeans and it was almost invisible, even with my passport, 4 credit cards and a wad of cash in it. It was pretty comfortable, too, except when I tried to sit the corners of my passport dug into my thighs, but I just turned it around so it sat just above my butt and it was fine. When I tried it on under some stretchy leggings, the outline of the passport was fairly visible but the cards and cash alone were fine.My only issues with this pouch is the buckle, which is so tiny, thin and dainty that I'll be shocked if it doesn't break, and the slider that adjusts the strap, which seems to be far thicker and larger than necessary and is visible under pants. Also, this pouch isn't for holding thick items like a wallet, cell phone or keys.
