This is a b-day present and I don't want to buy something poorly made and waste cash - the other more expensive pitchers on amazo…** A: Our household loves it..we go through fits where it is filled with just about any conceivable fruit, veggie, herb or combination...then we'll forget and not use it for a week..I've had it for just shy of a year and no issues..we try to hand wash..maybe the heating/cooling in a dishwasher added to some people's issue with cracking...we wash, rinse, refill, repeat...teens and college students think it's the "bomb"...we've found we all like the water when it's 1/2 hour to a few hours old..after a day or so the fruit gets waterlogged, ugly and the flavor it too much of a good thing.. **Q: Anyone wants to share recipes?
