Can’t figure out how to get it to work right.** A: You have to calibrate it before you start metal detecting. When you calibrate you can select the sensitiveness. Make sure you calibrate without anything metal nearby. Also: when you are underwater, once in a while hold it against your gold ring for instance. Because, if the detector hasn't detected anything for a while it will start beeping, for in case you lost it. **Q: Does this product come with an extension handle to make it longer so you don't have to bend over while in shallow water?** A: No, Nokta does not currently make an extension handle for the PulseDive. But… that’s a great idea. I use the PulseDive often, and I’ve thought about the same thing. **Q: How deep can it detect objects underground** A: This can be used in up to 200 ft of water, and can detect up to 8-10 inches under the surface depending on the ground and sensitive you have set on the unit. There are 5 sensitive settings.
