They are very sturdy and easy to take apart and clean. The problem comes when trying to put them back together. It's hard to get it to fit, I even cut myself a few times.I purchased a different set before not realizing it was from the same vendor. The one I had been using for years was the kind with the screw-on filter at the bottom. It lasted for well over 10 years before the screw threads corroded. This one is an excellent bombilla - it goes together easily, works well, and is the right length for comfortable drinking.
