The top and skirt are connected together like a dress. The skirt limits her movements, but it would not be difficult to alter into a pair of shorts if you wanted full movement. The head and shoulders have a good range of movement, and the legs less so. The elbows and knees don't bend, but there's not much interruption in the body shape with too many joints. She won't sit up straight but she moves around very well. The fringe and a bit more hair is glued to keep it neat. The shoes can be removed and she also has a handbag, which does not open. She wears permanent panties which are flesh coloured, but I painted them white and now it looks right.
