There's no feeling of "mint" or "refreshness" you might feel with certain lip balms, but I know now that it's just to trick you into thinking it's working. The first night I put it on right before bed, and woke up to see that my lips started to peel off the dead flakey skin. I resisted my urge to self exfoliate (bite the skin off), and applied another coat that morning. After repeating applications morning and night for a couple days, I noticed a significant change in how my lips felt. My husband started to notice as well (gasp)! More so he started asking for applications too when he saw me putting it on. My lips right now are the softest they've been in a really long time. Whenever I forget an application, I start to feel the skin on my lips begin to separate like they could begin to crack soon, I just apply and it instantly goes away. I'm not sure if my cracked lips will be with me my while life, but this product has been the only thing that has helped, and honestly I'm grateful. I would 100% buy this again.
