For use in automatic front loading machines only. Suitable fabrics: cotton, linen, viscose and polyester/cotton mixes. Lighter shades on polyester mixes because pure synthetics do not pick up the dye. Not suitable for wool, silk, polyester, acrylic, nylon and other synthetic fibres or fabric with special finishes e.g. 'dry clean' only. One pack will dye up to 600g /1lb dry weight fabric. Dyeing larger amounts (up to 1200g) will give a lighter colour. Pay close attention to the weight of your fabric before ordering, you might need several packages to get the effect you want. I wanted a slightly lighter colour than this, so only used one packet for double the amount of fabric advised. Colour turned out well, but was lighter than what I had guessed it would be. One thing it doesn't mention on the packet is the energy and water consumption required. You will need to run a wash cycle three times to dye something. Once to dye, second to clean the dye out, and again to rinse your machine so you don't accidentally dye anything in your next wash. You also can't use economy or water saving settings or it won't dye correctly.Overall the result is good. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Be careful when using *by G***X on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 9, 2012* I bought this to re dye a pair of grey denim jeans that had bleach spilt on them. The instructions are very clear but I add a note of caution. Good points the dye works well and applies evenly BUT you must thoroughly clean out the washing machine afterwards many more times than they suggest on the packet. We have a very modern washing machine and I suspect the problem is it uses less water than older ones. After the recommended wash through with detergent and then the empty wash through although it looked clean it still managed to add splats of dye to the next washing load and the next and the next despite cleaning out behind the rubber seal and door seal etc. The good thing is though that the white sheets it contaminated were saved by washing again with a stain remover. The grey colour isn't as much of a problem as the red ones that dylon do as they seem even more prone to hang around. Don't let this put you off though just do extra empty washes with plenty of detergent and it should be fine and use dark clothes for the first washes afterwards. It all goes to show that this is very good dye. If anything the Antique grey colour is too dark nearer charcoal but I expect it will fade over time and it did save a brand new pair of £65 jeans from an early trip to the clothing bank and the red version did the same for my wifes jeans. ### ⭐⭐ Horrible green undertone, splatters anything more than the 600g to a pack ratio. *by L***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 8, 2014* I'm not as fond of antique grey as I am of some of the other colours in the range.When fully concentrated (correct weight fabric to dye) it gives a medium-dark green-toned grey which isn't the prettiest but is the only grey available when I needed that colour.When diluted or stretched (greater weight fabric to dye ratio) is where this dye literally falls apart- you get green and red spotting on your fabric rather than a consistent but diluted colour (like burlesque red produces).
