That's why I started using them, in addition to neuropathy and lymphatic issues (Which is tied to fluid retention). These are great and I've seen a huge improvement. **Q: Will this product help slim your arms?** A: If you have fluid retention due to edema, they help to 'slim' (better description would be 'tone'... appearance of toning) your arms. This is not something that melts away fat forever... Don't we all wish it could be that simple :-) **Q: It says it has ripples on them, does it leave an indentation on your skin ?** A: Yes it does. I'm extremely sensitive to scent, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover nothing strong or irritating there. I've recently been diagnosed with stage 3 lipedema in my arms and have been trying to find compression sleeves that fit properly and are comfortable to wear. These were very easy to get on in comparison to individual arm sleeves and are well made. They don't dig into my armpits, and offer firm, comfortable compression. I've tried others that were excessively long in the sleeves, these fall at my wrist (5'1 for reference). Within minutes, I had the "scale" indentations on my skin which proved it was working as it should being a flat knit compression garment. For maximum benefit, compression should be changed every 3-4 months which gets pricey. These are very good quality at a fair price.
