Having just bought some nicely expensive japanese knives, in the middle of washing one of them, the lower part of the cutting side got caught up in the soft side of the sponge. People, these knives cut nori as if it was nikuman. I once grabbed this knife there with my hand and got a cut so deep had to give myself stitches (and not the kind that Mendes kid sings about). I bought this sponge nealy a year ago, I'm still in the first one (don't get me wrong, you can keep them clean and antiseptic, just do that fun microwave trick - though I'm really just a bit gross because I haven't really done that yet, nor do I own a microwave).
