But I can tell you the qo series has almost doubled since the recall on some of their panels due to the fires and the lack of care of and quality control. So I use the homeline series now mostly. Since most are now manufactured in Mexico. The cover plates on bot series are made like they used to be. Leaving gaps amongst other issues. **Q: What is the phantom load with these breakers? I'm considering using these, with a plug on neutral panel, in an off-grid solar setup.** A: The are current limiting devices, that also provide AFI & GFI protection. They do not provide a load on circuit. “Phantom load” devices would only be items on the load side of the devices. **Q: Will this work in a qoc24us panel?** A: This model requires a panel which has a neutral bar for the breaker to 'snap into' which is only on newer Square D QO panels. Take the cover off your panel and if there is a metal bar as the place each breaker snaps into place, this will work. You MUST have a neutral connection to the breaker for this breaker to work and on newer boxes this is done through the metal snap on mounting bar. The panel has the plug-on neutral bar which is compatible with the combination Square D CAFCI and GFCI breakers. The plug-on neutral is a great feature and the panel looks nice and neat when completed. The combo CAFCI and GFCI breakers are expensive but since I was installing the panel in a garage with several outdoor outlets, I wanted the combo breakers. This also eliminates the need to install separate GFCI outlets for code and safety compliance which reduces some of the cost.
