But it's supposed to be microwaveable???I slapped it onto the floor in between the cat boxes and couldn't smell them for a week. Seems to need at minimum 24 hrs in the sun to recharge after that. The seasonal heat in the room on top of the type of litter box (Breeze box with alternative bottom) + litter type (pine pellets) we use caused some serious ammonia stink if the bottom trays (slowly filling with disintegrating pine pellets and the absorbed pee) weren't emptied weekly, although they can go 3 weeks before being relatively full. The smell was bad enough by the end of one week that the room on the other side of our sliding door was smelling of ammonia, as well. We hung the little Ammosorb pouch on the sliding doors knob and within a week there was no more stink of pee in the room! It's been up for a month or so now and the only time we smell ammonia is after about 2 weeks of not emptying the bottom trays and even then it's not bad enough to get into the other room. I've recommended this to a few friends already... I'm really shocked by how well it works!
