The Supernova Dry is one of the best dry snorkel available in the market.It has a unique Splash Guard at the top which greatly reduces the entrance of water during use on the surface. The special valve on top seals the tube as you dive, almost totally preventing the entrance of water when the snorkel is submerged. The end part has a corrugated piece that is smooth on the inner side and keeps the snorkel away from the mouth during use when scuba diving. A special water collection well, with a large elliptic valve, allows quick and easy expulsion of water. The replaceable angled mouthpiece and corrugated tube section are both made from Hypoallergenic Silicone adding comfort and function. **Q: Does the clear snorkel change to yellow over time? Does that happen to all clear silicone basically?**
A: Mine has stayed clear over the past 9 months..

**Q: Can you please direct my search to a finis snorkeling mask?**
A: I got a “Promate Optical Corrective Scuba Dive Snorkeling Mask Prescription Lenses”. Cost starts at $20 USD and I needed the prescription lenses so it cost about $55. This is the only snorkeling mask I’ve purchased so I can’t compare it, but I got it recommended by a friend. There are more expensive masks with full view/incorporated snorkel/other features, but I don’t use this very often, so this was sufficient.  If you don’t have it already, or you won’t be on a trip with someone else who has it, you will need an anti fog product for the interior of the mask. If you haven’t purchased the snorkel yet, keep in mind that the ocean is full of dark colors and bright reflections so a black, grey, or clear snorkel won’t be very visible to others when it’s all that’s above the water. Fluorescent colors on the snorkel tip show most easily. I hope that helps.

**Q: can 7 year old use this?**
A: yes. last year when my boys were 10&12 they learned with this snorkel. now for 2 yrs, not a drop of water has gotten in. best snorkel i can recommend. go for a colored top so you can keep closer track of him on surface. very easy clip on system as well. enjoy

**Q: How is the Supernova different from the Alpha Ultra Dry?**
A: The Alpha Ultra Dry can be folded, while the Supernova Dry cannot be folded. The Alpha Ultra Dry's Dry Valve seals the breathing tube when submerged at any angle.

Been using it for about 3-4 wks, so far still good. Regularly use it for lap swim training, twice a wk. Not much water coming in when I do the flips. Looks durable, & the softness of the tube makes it easier to store in my swim bag.
