Or do you need to apply a separate adhesive?** A: It does have an adhesive side. **Q: Could you use this stuff to insulate the drum in a dryer for sound dampening and heat retention?** A: No, the drum gets too hot and the adhesive would probably fail **Q: Wrap around duct is good ? Will stick very good ? Will not come off after 1 or 2 years ?** A: Yes sticks very good will not likely come off In a few years however I did not use it for duct insulation I used it for sound deadening **Q: Would this be okay to put on the wood floor underneath a carpet? I have a room where the cold just flows up through the floor from a crawl space.** A: I have used this to insulate a van but gets sticky after high heat --- hard to remove. Even at room temp. may be hard to remove may get squishy. Try a test area with full walking traffic. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I needed! *by J***Z on Reviewed in the United States on 4 August 2024* This duct insulation is just what I needed. The wall in my garage had mildew on the surface caused by cold air in an uninsulated duct inside the wall. The only way to fix the problem without adding strips to the studs to make the wall thicker for proper insulation was a very thin insulation material. One roll covered the 3 sides of the duct that I could access, from floor to ceiling. Then I added spray foam to fill the rest of the channel. Tomorrow I will trim the excess foam and replace the drywall; then I will paint with anti-fungal primer. The insulation is easy to install. Sticks well to a clean dry duct, but can be pulled up and reapplied if necessary. I found it easiest to only enroll few feet more than I was applying at a time. I tried to avoid seems, and when they had to be a seam, I covered it with aluminum duct tape. The exposed duct is now only cool to the touch - no longer cold and no longer sweating with condensation from the hot and humid garage air. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not sticky enough. *by A***X on Reviewed in Canada on 26 April 2024* good product, but not sticky enough ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ buen producto *by J***O on Reviewed in Mexico on 23 July 2023* muy buen producto es lo que esperaba si sirve ## Frequently Bought Together - Frost King FV516 Duct Insulation & Tape, 1 1/8" x 15 ft, White, Foot - Dap 18836 DAPtex Plus Ltx Foam Sealant Raw Building Material, 12 oz, White - Silicone RTV 4500 Food Contact Safe High Strength Silicone Sealant, Clear (2.8 FL.
