It was way to loose. I was gonna to send it back. Then I thought about wrapping a little tape around the bottom of the shaft. Then I took the wammy plate loose and inspected the socket it inserts into. It has four sides . I noticed one sides gap was a little larger. I knew that wasn't right. So I got my needle nose pliers and squeezeed it in. It took the gap right out of it so I squeezeed the other two tabs together, and wammo!!! A perfect fit. It stays right in place. Wherever I leave it. The tabs go right back together without hardly any force, and the stay there. This old guitar has been around and somewhere along the line those tab got bent out a tad. Hopefully this helps someone. Haven't ordered the plastic tip yet.
