The book goes through the stages and would be helpful to anyone suffering from bipolar I or bipolar II. If you've been just diagnosed it will help you to accept the disorder.T hen understand the disorder. Then there is a thorough discussion on medication even alternative therapies like ECT etc. There are strategies on how to cope with this lifelong illness. Before a chapter begins there are anecdotes from other people's life that you can relate to if you are suffering from bipolar, There are mood chart to track your mood and avert a major manic or depressive episodes. It will help you devise backup plans on how to avoid disasters in a manic episode. How to force structure in your life in a depressive episode. How you need to involve your near ones in your recovery and well being.The psychiatrist won't tell you much, the internet is full of complicated and sometimes useless information. This book is what you need if you or your dear one is suffering from bipolar disorder.
