And they hold together. - Okay, I can't vouch that EVERYONE loves these. I personally haven't tried them. But my feline companions adore them, and my partner's office black lab loves them too. All love them even more than freeze dried liver treats! Despite saying these are "bites", they appear to be WHOLE chicken hearts, not the shredded bits you get in small bags at the pet store. Either way, they aren't ragged edges, but smooth like you'd expect. Although they do range in size from marble to shooter marble, or from say garbonzo bean to walnut. Dunno why they vary... maybe some are chickens, some cornish game hens and a few hummingbirds? The reason it matters that they seem whole is, they stay together when thrown down the hallway. They survive the Siberian (cat, not husky - personality a bit like a Bengal cat but friendlier) subsequently batting them around before finally subduing them and chomping them down. My little tiger vastly prefers to chase, catch and kill his treats, rather than simply accepting a bit of carrion. They're a pretty good value too. It's a much bigger bag than you'd expect. This is going on the "Favorites" like for the cats and dog. Review: Great singular ingredient treat for cats and dogs - Fresh is Best treats were suggested to me by my vet as a great singular ingredient treat option for my cats. He also specified that he prefers feeding hearts over livers due to the function that the organs perform within the body of the animal they come from, hearts tend to be a cleaner organ than livers. These are good for dogs as well. I originally fed these to my cats but had to discontinue due to discovering that one of my cats has a chicken allergy, otherwise I would have continued as they were great treats. These are too large to feed to cats whole so they do need to be cut into pieces before feeding. Some are soft enough that you can crush them with your fingers and break apart. Others are on the harder side so you can either cut them with a knife or use a nutcracker to break into pieces.I feed one heart to my cats every evening, they each get half. ## Features - FROM OUR HEART TO YOUR PET’S BOWL: Fresh Is Best healthy dog treats are crafted from 100% USDA chicken hearts, ensuring your pet gets the premium protein; our meat is human-grade, cage-free, antibiotic-free, and wild-harvested, making these training treats for dogs a gentle option - VACUUM-SEALED FOR FRESHNESS: Our freeze dried cat treats are vacuum-sealed with a high-oxygen barrier bag to preserve freshness, prevent spoilage, and retain nutrients, keeping treats tasty and fresh for your pets - FREEZE-DRIED TO PRESERVE NUTRIENTS: Our slow freeze-drying process locks in the full nutritional value, delivering a high-protein, nutrient-dense snack for your pet; each cat treat is made in small batches to maintain quality control - CONVENIENT TRAINING & REWARD TREATS: The freeze dried chicken dog treats can be served dry for a quick snack or rehydrated into a softer treat; perfect for training, rewards, or snacks, this single ingredient chicken heart dog treat is ideal for both playful pups and picky cats - MADE IN THE USA WITH LOVE & CARE: We are proud to produce our chicken treats in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, using American-grown ingredients; for 25 years, we’ve been committed to providing premium freeze dried treats with the highest taste and nutrition standards ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0036VE3V2 | | Additional Features | Freeze-Dried | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Animal Food Diet Type | Raw | | Best Sellers Rank | #88,531 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #3,651 in Cookies, Biscuits & Snacks | | Brand | Fresh Is Best | | Brand Name | Fresh Is Best | | Breed Recommendation | All Breed Sizes | | Container Type | Bag | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 510 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Medium | | Flavor | Chicken | | Flavour | Chicken | | Item Form | Dry, Frozen, Raw | | Item Weight | 3 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Fresh | | Manufacturer Part Number | 851367001380 | | Model Number | 851367001380 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Pet Type | Cat, Dog | | Product Benefits | Nutritionally dense, pure meat for pets | | Recommended Uses For Product | Training, Snacking, Meal Replacement | | Special Ingredients | grain-free, raw | | Specific Uses For Product | Heart, Nutrition | | Target Species | Cat | | UPC | 851367001380 | | Unit Count | 85.0486 Grams | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** Fresh Is Best - **Flavour:** Chicken - **Item Form:** Dry, Frozen, Raw - **Item Weight:** 3 Ounces - **Net Quantity:** 85.0486 Grams - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Package Information:** Bag - **Special Ingredients:** grain-free, raw - **Specific Uses For Product:** Heart, Nutrition ## Images ![Fresh is Best Freeze Dried Raw Whole Chicken Heart Treats for Dogs/Cats , 3 Oz,Adult - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81K85JRzyrL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How Did Fresh Is Best Get Its Start?** A: Stacy began when her dog Jade, a 6 year old German Shepherd, was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease (an auto-immune disorder) in March 2000. THANK YOU!!! *by S***J on 18 July 2018* Omg! Words cannot express how happy I am with your product. I have a dog with congestive heart failure and he is PICKY! I cook his meals home made, anything to keep wait on him and not cause more muscle wasting. Here come your treats...he can't have the majority of the treats out there. Especially the jerky or meat oriented as the all have salt. Due to his CHF he is in lasix and cannot have excess sodium. His sodium intake is carefully monitored by me and his cardiologist. When I gave this to my baby he sniffed it and was about to turn his nose at it as I offered it whole. I cut it into small pieces and let him sniff one. All of a sudden he gets cross eyed and SNATCHES the piece from my hand. LITERALLY, snatched it! I Haven't seen him eat with such gusto in a long time. It made me really happy to see him eat. I am proud to say that he has gained 9 ounces, since I started giving him your product. He gets four pieces a day, especially if he doesn't eat breakfast. I just have to say for dogs who have any heart issues this is the treat for you. If you want to make sure your dog has weight on him this is it. Thank you so much! I can't even begin to express my sincere gratitude. You might just have given me a few more months with my angel! And my other two angels? They love them too!!! ## Frequently Bought Together - Fresh Is Best - Freeze Dried Healthy Raw Meat Treats for Dogs & Cats - Chicken Hearts - Fresh Is Best - Freeze Dried Healthy Raw Meat Treats for Dogs & Cats - Duck Hearts - Fresh Is Best - Freeze Dried Healthy Raw Meat Treats for Dogs & Cats - Turkey Heart Fillets --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/305483847-fresh-is-best-freeze-dried-raw-whole-chicken-heart-treats](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/305483847-fresh-is-best-freeze-dried-raw-whole-chicken-heart-treats) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
