The fiber was 62.5/125 OM1 multimode. By the time I realized that for the same price I could have gone with something better the fiber was already buried and I thought I was doomed to 100mBit forever. Recently I started to look again and found 1000Base-LX and and mode conditioning cables. I went down that path, but through a series of wrong parts shipped didn't get a fully set of hardware yet. Meanwhile I found these guys and thought I would give them a try. They worked perfectly on my existing setup. According to iPerf benchmark I get 950mBit over my 1000ft of 62.5/125 to a couple to another 350ft to the shop. I couldn't be happier with this product. Review: It just worked for me, as is, out of the box. Powered it up, plugged in ethernet cable to switch, the 2 (Tx/RX) fiber leads, and instantly kicked in at 1gbps speeds.
