I have owned several Sony camcorders over the years. This one isn't my favorite but it's damn nice. The manual lens cover works fine (my other opens automaticly) and it turns on and off by opening and closing the view screen (no independent on/off switch or viewfinder). I knew that when I bought it so I was ready for that. I used it for my nephew's wedding and the footage looks great. I installed the app and it's great. It gives the capability to zoom in and out and, if you have up to six working together, you could control them all. There's a live broadcast feature I didn't use but should be great too. This is a good alternative to the more expensive GoPro IF you aren't wearing it. It's extremely light and seems cheap but works very well for me. Review: I haven't had any problems with this camera. This is my second one (first one stolen). I had my first one for a couple of years, same camera. I like how small and light weight it is. Also, using the tiny micro SD is nice. The video quality is pretty good. I mostly use it outdoors and this is where it shines. Indoors with low light, the video is grainy. Sound quality is very good and it picks up even low dialogue. Getting around the menus isn't great, when you first start using it, but you figure it out quickly where to go. I've tried the wireless streaming to a TV and it works just fine. While I can't personally comment on the camera's abilities, I can say that she LOVES it. I ordered all the accessories and she told me that it is easy to take with her for any outing and can select only what she needs to bring. The pictures and videos that I received are of good quality as well. And I can't complain about the price either.
