That's it. It is very, very sweet but it tastes more or less as expected. The names are more of a label than a descriptor, so I didnt actually have expectations of it tasting like a cake. I really just wanted something that tasted primarily of pineapple. It does. Somehow, oddly, it reminds me of Solely organic pineapple jerky. That's just pineapple. Where as this has addition of dates and almonds. Similar texture, and since this has a strong pineapple taste, it ends up reminding me of soft jerky. I really like it. But it sure is sweet!I enjoy it alone, or I break it up into pieces and toss on hot oatmeal or yogurt, or add it into a trail mix. Maybe one day I will cut into smaller pieces and dip it into warm molten chocolate.I'd buy it again.
