It can hold a pomp a couple of inches tall all day but won't go very tall for very long. The scent is best described as being a "Manly-Citrus", and very pleasant to catch a whiff of throughout the day. It doesn't harden to give you that helmet-head effect and is easily restyle-able with a pocket comb. I'll usually wear oil based pomades for three days before washing them out completely and starting again with clean hair (I should also note that I do wash with shampoo every day to keep my hair clean, but oil based pomades are not so easily subdued). It only takes a little bit maybe thumbnail sized on days 2 and 3 to touch up the spots that aren't holding so well. To wash it out completely nothing works better than Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. Work a sizable amount of Aussie into your hair like you would your pomade, comb it in and let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then shower/shampoo/conditioner and your hair will be free of excess product and you can start fresh. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Only Pomade I Use *by G***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2024* The hold of the pomade is firm while allowing for easy performance using a comb. It’s pretty firm so the ease of washing may be a factor. This has become my go to for numerous reasons. The texture is perfect for my wavy thick hair, it's actually a firm enough hold to hold down my cowlicks in the back and get me a nice sharp wedge in front. You can get a nice sharp part with it if you choose, I personally do not do a side part. And the scent is by far the best thing I have literally ever smelled cologne fragrance wise. Just a manly spicy very strong scent, with a light hint of lemon. The lemon is more prominent with the grooming spray. Support a small, one man business and buy as many of these as you can. If you're into a water soluble gel, he makes a great water based that you can use along with this or separately that smells exactly the same. I cannot recommend this grease enough.
