The only place I can see any benefit is the hard wooden chair. It is made for small folks, one of which I am not. It is too small for me to use for any length of time. For someone under 200lbs, I think this would be a winner. The construction is good and the mesh covering prevents it from becoming hot. I wish they offered a larger size. On the up side, For the money, I think the product is great. I have passed this along to my wife and she seems to like it pretty well. The strap that holds it on the back of the chair is elastic and adjustable so it should fit most chairs. I haven't had any issues with my office chair, or my back, but I'm still thinking of ordering one for myself because I just feel like I'm missing out now not having one. I'm am 5ft-7inches tall and weighs 130lbs. Maybe if the firm lumbar support was thinner I may find it more comfortable to use. The Lumar support by Posturex is soft and when used conform to my back. It is more comfortable and I can sit in the car for long periods of time on the road. At the time when I was looking for lumbar support, I didn't know what would work for me. That reason I purchased two different type of supports.
