A Serving size (1/4 teaspoon/1.25grams) contains 43mg (milligrams) of Sodium. Salt (NaCl) consists of Sodium and Chloride The product has some salt but when diluted in water is not terribly salty if used in small quantities. 1/4 teaspoon in your soup or sprinkled on food while cooking should be fine but if you are on a highly restrictive sodium diet it's always a good idea to speak to your MD and/ or Registered Dietitian to help with meal planning so you stay within your daily sodium allowance.
